Mandatory Health Programs and Services Guidelines
The Health Protection and Promotion Act, 1990 (as amended) and its regulations authorize the governing body, usually the board of health and its staff, to superintend, provide or ensure the provision of health programs and services in the following areas:
- Community sanitationControl of infectious diseaseHealth promotion, health protection and disease and injury preventionFamily healthCollection and analysis of epidemiologic data
- Such additional health programs and services as are prescribed by regulations
