Substance Abuse and Drug Awareness

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit coordinates RISK, one of the 22 provincial FOCUS sites aiming to reduce problems, illness and injuries associated with alcohol and other drug use in Muskoka-Parry Sound.

RISK Project Goals

  1. To identify, plan, implement, evaluate and sustain programs and initiatives that help to reduce problems, illness and injury related to alcohol and other drugs.
  2. To raise community awareness and help to change behaviours around the consumption, effects and consequences of alcohol and drug use.
