Okay Simcoe-Muskoka you promised yourself you would quit smoking this year. It’s the single best thing you can do to protect your health and it will put money back in your pocket – more than $4,000 in your first year.

The next step is to plan your success by preparing to quit . You will have to think about and be prepared for be prepared for triggers that make you want to light up. You’ll have to decide what activities will you need to avoid? How will you deal with the post-dinner craving? What can you do to keep your mind off smoking in the evening? There are also supports in the form of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) that can help reduce the cravings. Under a study being conducted by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health you may be eligible for a free 10-week supply of the NRT patch, gum or inhaler.
